World’s End Press - Deadbeat Sweetheart

Drop what you’re doing right now, because you need to be all over World’s End Press…like yesterday.

Grimy sneers and dance-floor sleaze never sounded so good. If this were in a movie, “Deadbeat Sweetheart” would be thumping heavily against the walls of the inner office of a slimy nightclub as the greasy owner, played by Ron Jeremy, tries to seduce his newest employee.

Repulsive images aside, this quartet of Aussies, manage to make their brand of electro pop sparkle despite several heavy coats of lurid lecherousness, and I mean that in only the best of ways.

The Money Go Round – Endless Sun

Spring has sprung! So what better way to celebrate than with the breezy sounds of The Money Go Round.

Like Tame Impala if they did surf rock, “Endless Sun” is a seductively summery tune filled with breezy vocals, a driving bass line, and psychedelic 70s guitar lines.

Escape the drudgery of your day with the envy-inducing video below, which features a merry band of beautiful people in the springtime of their youth having the time of their lives on a road trip.

Deap Vally – Get Deap! EP

Hide your kids and lock your doors because Deap Vally is cannonballing their way across the country to promote their rollicking new EP Get Deap!

Drawing heavily on the rock gods of yore – Led Zeppelin, Stooges, and Joan Jett – these two mynxes breathe diesel, spit fire, and bleed pure adrenaline. Their darkly sexual and predatory brand of blues rock simultaneously arouses and terrifies you in a way that only proper rock and roll can.

With the snarl of a panther, Lindsey Troy screams like a combination of Alison Mosshart, Robert Plant, and Jack White, while Julie Edwards mercilessly assaults the drums with the force of an artillery barrage.

Peep the videos for “Lies” and “Gonna Make My Own Money” below, and head here to score a free download of “Ain’t Fair.”

AA Loves – Bang Bang Rock n Roll

Bang Bang Rock n Roll mean serious business – and their business is riot-inducing garage rock. Two parts grim and hellish rock and one part sneering petulance  Bang Bang Rock n roll is all kick ass.

Infusing surf punk with elements of psychedelic southwestern rock and the sugary sweetness of 60s pop, this three-piece churns out some seriously thrashable jams. Look no further than “Something I Can Live For” which is a bit like David Lynch’s Wild at Heart collided with The Cardigans “My Favorite Game” in a grimy biker bar in the southwest – or “I Love You,” which sounds a bit like Flat Duo Jets meets FIDLAR.

Stream “Something I Can Live For” and “I Love You” below, and be sure to head to bandcamp to nab their EP.

The Men – B-Minor

Have a listen to “B-Minor,” the latest track from The Men

Taken from Sacred Bones’ Todo Muere Vol. 3, the label’s planned release for Record Store Day, “B-Minor” is loud, brash, and full of sleazy sneers – in short, everything you’ve come to expect from this Brooklyn five piece. Recorded during the same session that saw the creation of their last album New Moon, their newest release rocks every bit as hard.

It's about damn time! Empire of the Sun is back with a new album and the lead single "Alive," is one helluva dance floor banger. Expect this to be played endlessly all summer long.

Kill City Creeps – I Got A Letter

Start the week off right with the darkly unhinged rock n’ roll of Australia’s Kill City Creeps.

From the track’s pulsating tribal drum intro alone, you know you’re in for some real trouble, and things only go from bad to worse as the devilish vocals gather steam. With its thrumming bass line and pyschadelic organs, “I Got a Letter” spirals out of control in a kaleidoscope of influences ranging from the lurid voodoo of Screamin Jay Hawkins, the feverish horror of the Cramps, the kick your ass rock of the Stooges, and so much more.

Stream “I Got A Letter” below, and be sure to head to their bandcamp to snag their debut self-titled EP.
