High Highs – Once Around The House

In case you missed it, the Interwebs has been set aflutter with the release of the High High’s latest spectral beauty, “Once Around The House.”

Taken from their forthcoming debut album, “Once Around the House,” is every bit as lush, bittersweet, and cloud-like as the instant classics from their debut EP.

Listen below, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the LP, which is due out in January 2013.

High Highs - Ivy

Listen to “Ivy,” the latest track from High Highs, a perennial favorite of this blog.

Taken from their upcoming EP, which is due out on November 22nd via Small Plates, “Ivy” is wispy and climbs delicately like its title. A bit more minimalistic than their previous releases, but still very much wrapped in the gorgeously orchestrated dream-like haze that epitomizes their style.

Mellow out and listen to “Ivy” below.

High Highs – Flower Bloom

Swoon. Be still my heart.

The High Highs have me all aflutter with one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard in a while.

A subtle lo-fi static breathes extra life into the track, while absurdly sublime vocals harmonize. Gentle, rich, and swirling, Flowers Bloom packs an emotional punch. Like a needle in your lung, it leaves you gasping for air.

As for the folks behind this bit of musical genius, the High Highs are two Aussies named Oli Chang and Jack Milas.

The 7" will be released in April and will include "Opean Season," "Flowers Bloom", and two new songs "Ivy" and "Horses."

Head over to their bandcamp to download this goodness.
