Dominique Pruitt – To Win Your Love

Fuhgetabout Donny and Marie Osmond, the charming Dominique Pruitt is both more country and more rock than they’ll ever be (not that they were ever really either).

Instead of being just another 50s-tinted pop jam filled with sugary sweet vocals and infectious double claps, “To Win Your Love” stands out with some serious southern twang and its sun-drenched vibe – think Patsy Cline meets Best Coast meets Chalk and Numbers.

Normally lyrics like “Every song I sing is to win your love/I’d do anything to win your love” would sound twee as all hell, but Pruitt somehow manages to pull it off – must be all that country earnestness that drips from her voice.

Have a gander at the gorgeously-shot video for “To Win Your Love,” which will be on her debut album, and be sure to keep an eye out for big, big, big things from Miss Pruitt.

More please!
