So long space cowboy
See you in a few weeks, it's time to hit the road.
"In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway american dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway 9,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin out over the line
Baby this town rips the bones from your back
Its a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while were young
`cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run"

Rare Photos of Morrissey
Have a gander at some rare images of Morrissey and the Smiths taken by Kevin Cummins courtesy of NME. The photos are part of a box set of 31 postcards of the band.

Chance Wiesner – Wandering Ones
Full of country twang, psychedelic twinges, and plenty of
American folksiness, Chance Wiesner’s “Wandering Ones” sounds like Lee
Hazelwood incarnate.
Stream the single below, which is taken from Takin’ a Chance on Love out now via Ten Dollar Recording Company.

Hibou - Dunes EP
Celebrate the weekend with the dreamy sounds of Seattle's Hibou.
Like a collision of Wild Nothing’s slow dreamy guitars, the
Drums’ hazy surf-gaze, and the Smith Westerns’ wistful exuberance, the Dunes EP is seriously catchy.

copy.

Bloody Lovely Audrey - Heat
Darkly sensual and dripping with wet malice, Australia’s Bloody Lovely Audrey sounds
like a night filled with Hemi-powered monsters howling down a foggy highway deep
in the sweltering southern bayou.
Like the mistress of a vampire bordello, Sinead Curry’s vocals entice you with their hungry allure and uncontrollable lust. Is that the sound of your heart thumping, the dark drums of Armageddon, or the pounding beats and grinding guitar riffs.
Stream the Four Dark Eyes EP below.

The Upskirts – Disconnection EP
Lecherous, sleazy, and reckless these four Aussies live up
to their scummy band name – and I mean that in the best of ways, as in proper
fuck off rock n’ roll.

Black Zeros – Teen Boy
With the sneering petulance and scowling snarls of Joan Jett
on a surf board, Australia’s Black Zeros don’t mess
around when it comes to thrashing surf punk.

The Coppertone – Young Blood
Help the Coppertone
aka Amanda Zelina stick it to the man.
This folksy rock n’ roller has been unjustly locked into a
record contract that prohibits her from releasing any of her songs. For a
whopping price of twenty thousand dollars, the record company has graciously
allowed her to purchase her own songs back. Gee thanks.
To raise the 20k, Coppertone has launched a crowd sourcing
campaign at Indigogo
where you can pick up all sorts of goodies for contributing.
If you’re still on the fence, have a listen to “Young
Blood,” a more power chord infused version of Heartless Bastards’ nostalgic Americana rock.
