Have a listen to “Home” courtesy of Australia’s The Falls – a quiet folksy Neil Young-esque jam plus some beautiful harmonies, a toy vibraphone, and some clapping – nothing fancy, but peaceful as all hell.

Keep an eye out for their debut EP Hollywood which drops on June 1^st.

The Cribs – Hey Scenesters

Punch Friday in the face with a bit of classic Cribs.

Speaking of getting punched in the face, after enthusiastically (read: drunkenly) throwing myself into the mosh pit at the Cribs show a few weeks ago at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, I was kicked in the face by the errant foot of a crowd surfer and lost my glasses. I promptly proceeded to do my best Velma from Scooby Doo impression groping along the floor, fully expecting the gang to crunch my glasses as they fled from the ghost – but to my surprise, some very nice folks stopped the jumping and shoving long enough to locate my glasses without them being trampled.

Amaaaazzzzzing – and so is this jam.

Those jangling 60s pop rockers The Heartbreaks have finally released their long-awaited album “Funtimes.”
