2012 was a big year for Memphis-based psychedelic rockers Tiger High, with the quartet dropping two absurdly good albums. While their debut album Myth Is This was fantastic, the band opted for a far more punishing and brutal sound on their second album – think less Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band amiable tripping and more full blown vicious dinosaur-faced-orangutans-swinging-from-chandeliers-Hunter-S.-Thompson-acid-melt-down.
But there’s no need to fret, Tiger High’s brand of Southern garage rock, buzzy vocals, scorching guitars, and fuzzy psychedelics will have you dancing with your perverse visions rather than shrieking in terror.
